Cornyn: “There’s nothing we could do to rein in the president.” This pretty much sums up the feckless Republican Party. They have abdicated their responsibility as a co-equal branch of government.

Why does character not matter to Congress in these nominations? Because character does not matter to the American voters electing them. Expect more from your elected reps! Hold them accountable. Vote them out. Vote for candidates with courage and convictions.

Trump approved disaster aid requests from six red states last week. Two days later, he rejected aid requests from four blue states. Not only is he punishing states who didn’t vote for him, he’s playing politics with people’s lives. Despicable.

Not feeling much like celebrating the 250th, in our house we're honoring America's birthday by watching documentaries on the presidents.
