The core contradiction of the AI-conflict is/has always been class-conflict. Who owns/controls these models vs who is forced to "rent" them or is harmed by them? Who freely commandeers lands for data centers vs whose land is taken? Who freely owns our data vs whose data is taken?

What's funny about the *bad faith* Odyssey discourse is that these ppl can just make their own version. It's literally one of the oldest tales in humanity (which itself borrows much from Gilgamesh, the oldest). But deep down they know they can't tell it well, or w/o aping off of the latest version
The historical accuracy "backlash" for the Odyssey (a myth) is like if 3000 years from now, certain people got mad at the "historical accuracy" of a LoTR hologram adaptation.

Fr tho. How much of the 'no plan' narrative was erroneously driven by the tragic & unforseen passing of Carrie Fisher, as well as the original director's inability to write around that? Thats the thing about plans, they change with circumstances; even 'planned triumphs' like LOTR had massive changes

There was even coordination there on things like the droids in the ending and blah blah blah, all of which goes back to Luke stuff laid out in plans by, you guessed it, George. Which then went to the summits, Michael Arndt‘s draft, etc.
