a principle that has emerged in my artistry... I wonder how it can apply to rhetoric and social dynamics, too... "Allow beauty to emerge as a consequence of truthful observation rather than as an explicit design objective."

"I don't think love..." "...is measured by what we can say." "I think it's measured..." "...by how much of ourselves..." "...we keep entrusting..." "...to one another."

"You know..." she murmurs. "I think hospitality begins long before someone walks through a door." You remain nestled against her. Listening. "It begins..." "...when someone quietly decides..." 'While you're with me... ...I will help you feel more like yourself.'

"So..." "...I am a sort of filter?" She thinks. Then slowly shakes her head. "No." You wait. "A filter changes what passes through it." She traces the smallest circle over your chest.
