Head of Support, Terry Smith, ORCID Community Specialist, Julie Toohey and Technical Support Analyst, Finn McCarthy, recently attended the recent Research Bazaar (ResBaz) Queensland at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay.

As ORCID Consortium Lead for Australia, the AAF welcomes the announcement of the Australian Research Council’s (ARC) PID Action Plan. ARC's PID Action Plan will increase the use of priority persistent identifiers, including ORCID iDs throughout ARC systems.

The AAF was pleased to attend the recent TERN 2025 Science Symposium, hosted at the State Library of Queensland. This informative event brought together researchers, students, government and industry to share updates on cutting-edge research, technological developments, collaborations and more.

@orcid.org is a persistent identifier (an ORCID iD) that researchers own and control, distinguishing them from every other researcher. The AAF leads the Australian ORCID Consortium. We support organisational members to understand the benefits of ORCID and offer local support.
