In 2020, nearly 5% of Lakeview residents reported their age as 25, and 34% were in their 20s. It had the most lopsided population distribution of any community area in Chicago. Meanwhile, no single age contained more than 1.5% of West Pullman residents. It had the flattest distribution in the city.

We built the highways as "shortcuts" parallel to existing surface streets (the Stevenson for Archer, the Kennedy for Elston). And look how well that's turning out.

It's a shame that Microsoft is a shitty company that I don't want to give any more money to, especially in the wake of the recent Xbox layoffs, because the Halo remake actually looks pretty cool.

Nobody disputes that having access to a car in a car-dominated society is good. It gives one access to jobs, healthcare, food, education, social opportunities and more. All we're asking is for people to go one step deeper and ask why access to such basic rights requires buying and operating a car.

I grew up in Jackson Heights in Queens and we still had a car, and our lives got measurably better when we did.

God keeps sending the wildfire smoke to Chicago because we were too powerful during the summer.

All this talk of daylight saving time got me thinking: I'm not strictly a morning person or night owl, but a secret third thing where I hate afternoons. I like being productive in the morning, or staying up late playing video games. But 12-4pm can be a slump where I don't want to focus on anything.

Keeping the transit theme: I was born for London because these colors made me think of the Victoria, Metropolitan, Lioness, and Hammersmith & City Lines.

I hate to say that I'm the glue holding everything together at work, but it really does seem like chaos ensues whenever I take PTO. I've been back from vacation for 1 business hour and I'm already tired.
