Agents and I been cranking on a new personal finance app to replace my current Google Form to Google Sheets driven expense tracking system. You could say I’ve graduated from being one of these “spreadsheet people”. Shew, just in time to not catch some strays.
Another day, another batch of Composer and NPM security vulnerability advisories. With all the recent supply chain attacks, I’ve been kinda nervous to run composer/npm update. No likely this feeling.
Your kid isn’t a “problem child”. Kids are just people who need more practice at handling life’s many situations. And they just need someone to show them how to handle life well. And show patience and understanding when they don’t do it well.

Catching up on the @syntax.fm MadCSS competition. I started watching it in the can... but I’m not going with that picture. Many are saying this is rigged for the Syntax boys… concerning. 😅
You will have to pull out creepy horny emoji copypastas from my wet limp hand. An art modality that AI can’t take from us.

All of these “very normal” and “not weird or hostile at all” replies are really selling Bluesky, y’all. *insert the Borat “Not!” GIF*
Wes Bos@wesbos.com · 8mo agoThought y’all would enjoy. Yesterday over on x: They removed dim mode because the overhead of CSS variables was too much AI will skip coding and write binaries directly by end of year

Orta Therox@orta.io · 8mo agoSoft launching my Keybase on atproto alpha: @keytrace.dev Basically the identity verification system from keybase/keyoxide but storing the identity claims on your registry and signing them based on keys in mine. It is not focused on PGP, but on making it possible for social apps to handle identity
This snowmageddon will be a good time for me to burn some tokens and hack on some side projects.

PHP Devs (or even JS Devs 😱) in the Lexington area, come out for a Meetup next week! I’ll be giving a talk on InertiaJS with Laravel. And stay for a drink afterwards!
KYPHPUG@kyphpug.bsky.social · last yr.Next Thursday at 7PM (July 10): InertiaJS: The best of both worlds It allows you to create fully client-side rendered, single-page apps, without the complexity that comes with modern SPAs. It does this by leveraging existing server-side patterns that you already love. www.meetup.com/kentucky-php...
@calebporzio.bsky.social I’ve got to say (dad of 4 here, 6m to 5y), your description of multiple hours with just one kid (!) working outside sounds like heaven. An unrealistic fantasy as this point in my life, but sounds really nice. Anyway, back to the joy/mostly agony.

Woah… I’ve been event source curious for a while and this was a great explanation of how events work vs just Eloquent models. The time-traveling bit was especially satisfying. Now what about States instead of Models… ?
