It's funny that you never know what comment will get passed into an AGENTS.md file and haunt you for the rest of a project. My current ghost is a persistent draft function that all agents now refer to as "lunch-safe".

MN. Red area of a blue state. Here to learn and share. Boring now, but former US Marine, terrain park designer, riverboat pilot, a bunch of other weird stuff.
Every MAGA's dream: Being able to tell your kids, "this highway is named after me" as you pick them up for your weekend that month.
The rest of the regime needs to get theirs too I guess
"A censure is an insult to the young women who bravely chose to come forward and report his behavior that threatened their careers, reputations, and safety," they say. "They had to leave their jobs, so should Rep. Edwards. He should resign immediately."
What's wild about this is she was probably trying to calibrate what she submitted to make this disappear without subsequent document-producing steps, IN ORDER TO PROTECT TRUMP because she knew how damaging it would be. But he'll sacrifice anyone because he has no goodness in him.
A few minutes ago to press: *TRUMP, ASKED ON PIRRO: SHE MADE A MISTAKE *TRUMP ON REFLECTING POOL ISSUES: THE CONTRACTOR WAS RUSHING *TRUMP ON PIRRO: I THINK SHE CHOKED CNN just now: edition.cnn.com/2026/08/03/p...
Imagine announcing to the world you had to learn the hard way that "Iranian Leadership is unbelievably duplicitous." That you started a war that can only end with a settlement w/o being aware of that. That you expected your *adversary* in that *war of aggression* to *not* try tricking you.
Heh.
Nicholas's point is important. Imagine an outcome where Grok is evaluation the incoming recommendations. Because that's not unlikely.
Russian mil-bloggers deserves some credit/blame for the "just bomb civilian targets like power plants and apartment buildings, then they'll quit" strategy in Ukraine. After Russia's initial spring 2022 offensive failed, the online cheerleaders pushed for that punishment strategy. It has not worked.
I disagree with this. Announce now that no consideration will be given for shareholder value when these are unwound. Deterrence can begin now.
The tricky part for a future Dem Admin is going to be finding a way to divest the US govt from these companies without tanking their stock price & hurting them over the long term. What Trump is doing is a fundamental tenet of communism while he distracts by claiming Dems are.
That was so 2026. Oops I meant 20:26. Like as in one hour ago.
guys remember the Strait of Hormuz crazy times
Raise your hand if you've seen a woman delicately manage an abuser so he wouldn't use a custody fight, and her love of her child, as a weapon against her. 🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋... "Why would she...?" Dude doesn't even know he said something akin to a confession.
Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"
Volunteers had to patrol the woods around the Minnesota Federal building in the winter because ICE would dump people back there without returning their jackets, IDs, phones, or cc/money. Like actively trying to use the winter to kill them.
"Her case echoes a similar one a week earlier in Buffalo, New York, where a 56-year-old Rohingya refugee with significant vision impairment and limited English was found dead after the US border patrol dropped him off alone at a closed Tim Hortons coffee shop."
I'm so glad we have all these big strong teenage boys governing us. Their bold strength must be why we're winning.
Sen. John Kennedy says his response to Iranian cyberattacks would be to "eat them up and spit the bones on the floor"
Agents writing tests is underrated, or at least not talked about in proportion to its impact.
Google Chrome fixed 1072 security bugs in its last two milestones exceeding the total fixed in the last 23 milestones combined. Their agentic workflow includes • agents for triaging & reproducing bugs • fixing agents that propose fixes • critic agents that evaluate fixes • agents that write tests
I know this is tongue in cheek, but there are a lot of Catholics in that group and many MAGA would actually agree. They're impossible to satirize.
Alexander is right, so presumably MAGA's next step will be the mass deportation of members of the Irish- and German-American diaspora
He knows things are so bad for him that he has to use the last drops of his political capital to secure the loyalty of his brown shirts. But he will fail at even that.
Lord
It's also concerning that this Iranian communication -- this signal of their willingness and ability to escalate -- may have instead been interpreted by the President as a failed attempt to harm the US.
I can't stress enough what a crisis this is. Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.
1/ I worked at a jail for two years, and I learned a lot, including that, yes, some people don't want to be good, and don't care about the repercussions. Even a seemingly minor example: Dude just loved meth. Wasn't just an addict, he genuinely loved it and planned to do it until it killed him.
Not everyone wants help. And it doesn't mean they're the people currently in jail, but by god they should be.
🎶 When your Big Move shows your strategic weakness, that's... ... a-MAGA 🎶
what do you even say at this point
What comes next must re-establish deterrence. An aggressively, assertively pro-social phase. Achieved through both structural changes and individual approaches to office-holding.
looking at the headlines and reflecting once again on how all the smart, hard-working, honest people I know feel like they’re going at least a little insane in our era of total Stupid Immoral Asshole ascendancy
I'll keep saying this because I think it matters: Sudan was a model for what could happen to Iran. Be *done to* Iran, because it wasn't an accident. It seems like some of the Big Players in the ME looked at Sykes–Picot and thought the main issue with it was just that they didn't get to do it.

Turns out the GDP he was talking about was Gross Dudes' Piles. Grifting Douches' Piles? Geriatric Draft-dodgers' Piles?
Not yet.
So the US military's entire stock of Patriot and THAAD interceptors could fit in a single suburban Walgreens?
If those are accurate numbers… Holy shit. That’s bad.
Extra funny because at first I thought this was talking about the Governor/Senate candidate, because that would be a perfectly vague description of him.

Trump appears to have given up on a complete SAVE Act. But also as I understand it, the budget bill as planned would not be eligible for simple majority passage in the Senate. Spending offsets would be required for that.
It's increasingly clear OpenAI's only financial hope is the US government nationalizing the entire industry.
lol, no, that's not a thing
Reminder that Musk is being investigated for criminal voter fraud charges in Wisconsin.
Quite the day of news! Probably unrelated. www.axios.com/2026/07/29/m...
