Marijuana is now the most commonly used daily or near-daily drug in America, surpassing both cigarettes and alcohol for the first time on record. New federal data estimates 21.4 million daily marijuana users, compared with 19.9 million cigarette users and 17.2 million daily drinkers.

AI companies are reportedly buying rare and out-of-print books, cutting off their bindings, and scanning them for training data. The physical copies are then destroyed, raising fears that uncommon and historically valuable works could be permanently lost.
