Why would anyone insure themselves for healthcare and never file a claim when it's needed?!? Obviously, one should only get insurance AFTER developing a pre-existing condition, which makes you no longer eligible anymore. *republican common sense* 🙄

NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

Karen Bass’s LAPD is openly defying a judge’s order to hand over moonlighting records, and it's obvious why. They are desperately hiding a shadow workforce where cops moonlight for ICE contractors, creating blatant conflicts of interest. It's time to enforce the subpoena and demand accountability.

NEW: @apnews.com confirms that ICE has begun electronically "disappearing" people in the agency's custody who have final orders of removal. As of last week, anyone jailed by ICE with a final order of removal will NOT appear in the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, making them effectively vanish.

Stay tuned for more on this from mainstream reporting hopefully later today, but Bob's got the gist of it; last week, it appears that ICE began disappearing people from the Online Detainee Locator System the moment they get a final order of removal. Yes, this is as deeply screwed up as it sounds.

Here's the thing: some people actually used to be able to afford those niceties of life because the necessities of life, like gas, were affordable. But even worse, people who work for federal minimum wage and have to drive to work or for a living now have to work a day just for a tank of gas.

I don’t buy wine, cocktails, or stadium beer. I have 1 car that needs repairs. I financed my phone through my carrier plan. I’ve never owned $800 shoes, I gave up TV years ago,and while I think a well-made latte is one of the finer things in life, I’d never pay $14. Do I still have to pay the $4.50?

Or, and hear me out now, raise them to be young adults who are responsible. You have 18 friggin years to do it. It doesn't mean abandoning them thereafter. It means that hopefully their mistakes are of the kind where you wash red clothes with whites, and maybe party a little too much.
