BTS from a shot I did for the Sponge on the Run movie. Huge rear-screen sky w/separate sun source. You can just see the moco rig and some FG black lights at the bottom right. This was for the singing cacti in Keanu’s head if I remember correctly.

One of my prized possessions is a DVD of this documentary. Which I believe I first saw presented in 16mm circa 1993? The beginning of the end of the illusion of the solo auteur director in my mind.

A few years ago I shot miniature backgrounds and title cards for The Cuphead Show. This is the shot as it looked from telecine. Check out the show to see with all the VFX and 2d. This shot was on Kodak 500T regular 16mm cropped to 1.78 with a Mitchell 16. I’ll follow up with another post of BTS.
