Dear Infold team, Love and Deepspace team, and all,

As a dedicated player for over a year and a half now, I had been eagerly awaiting Valko's release ever since his announcement last week. I came into the game shortly before Caleb's release, and as I was still starting the game at the time, I did not get to fully enjoy the experience and anticipation leading up to it.

Getting to follow along as new trailers dropped was a genuine joy, and especially being able to share that excitement with the scores of players I had been able to bring into the game with me during my time as a hunter.

The decision to not only roll back Valko's release, not even a delay, but a full deletion of the character, was the wrong decision.

Extremely vocal players made their sentiments known about where they stood on Valko early on, and while we know feedback was negative, especially from the game's CN players, many of the global players, myself included, were looking forward to him. It's clear to the majority of us that a lot of care and time went into his development, his placement in the story, his personality, and so on.

While I do not wish to downplay the alleged threats that Infold's office received, if the social media posts are true, I think that folding to the demands of these people is only reinforcing that they can sway your teams' decision-making by being (allegedly) violent. This sets a precedent going forward if more decisions are made that the more local players dislike. Furthermore, it has left those of us looking forward to this update with a sense of both disappointment, and distrust in the team.

As global players...we are more than well aware that our voices are rarely heard. Issues that have plagued players for over two years now have gone not only unanswered, but fully unadressed by the dev team.Such issues as:
-Poor cutscene lighting for darker-skinned hunter models
-Issues regarding storage space of the app on mobile devices, with the requested resolution being a PC version of the game
-High turnover of banners with no roadmap to prepare and budget (both in-game currency and real currency, if needed)
-Dwindling opportunities for farming diamonds and other resources to be able to keep up with frequent banners

We understand that your ultimate goal is to make money from this game; money from us as the players. And while we also understand that the majority of that buying power comes from your CN players, who are unaffected by some of these issues, global players have also invested our time, money, and support to this game that we love so dearly. Our voices, our support, and our money spent matters just as much as theirs does, but for a long time, it feels that our feedback falls on deaf ears.

It is important to stress; along with the issues listed above, one of the main issues brought up in the complaints was the lack of content balance for Sylus and Caleb. While we do also want this to happen, especially in the form of support 4 star and 5 star cards to be available in the static wish pool to both catch them up to the original three LIs and to balance their combat companions...it should not come at the cost of what seemed to be an exciting story update, and Valko himself.

We understand that your ultimate goal is to make money from this game; money from us as the players. Your players are deeply passionate about this game; that much, I'm sure you already know. We WANT to keep supporting the development of this game, but in order to do so, we need to be reassured that EVERYONE'S voices are being heard, not just the extremists. Not just one region.

We ask that you reconsider Valko's cancellation, as well as the much-needed changes listed above. The majority of your players are patient; as long as you can communicate to us that our concerns are being heard and solutions are being worked on, we will anticipate them. But please do not let these requested changes be at the cost of what was sure to be a well-loved new character for the game.

imagine being the dev team/artists/writers who poured their blood sweat and tears and dedicated hundreds of hours to their work to bring a character to life only for corporate to decide that they will trash it. 😡😡
