I have never been this pessimistic about what is going to happen. I have said it before, and I am saying it again: what happened in Iraq in 2003 and its consequences will be only 5% at most of what is going to happen… sadly.

For many, it is vacation. For me, half vacation :) From last week, Lisbon’s discussion of my book “fearful in Gaza” with poet Nur Turkmani, at Good Company Bookstore in collaboration with Maqam.

His name is Sami,he has just lost his family yesterday. He was sleeping beside his little sister, Habiba, 6, and parents when an Israeli rocket hit their house and instantly killed all of them Wednesday early morning in Deir Elbalah, central Gaza strip. Sami is the sole survivor.(via Sami AbuSaleh)
