Between 5 and 1.6 years in prison were sentenced by the regional government . Based on the charge sheets I reviewed, some appeared to be innocent, and the cases seem to target freedom of expression. One thing all the cases had in common is that they were based on Facebook comments.

A new report indicates over 200 people in Ethiopia have taken their own lives due to despair and distress. Felege Specialized Hospital in Bahir Dar recorded 156 suicide-related case in 7 month , a hospital in Addis Ababa reported 40 suicide cases within the same period, according to DW media.
