Senior XIs in the SWCA and WWCCC, a strong Women and Girls section, two midweek teams, and a hugely successful junior section (All Stars (5-8 years), Dynamos (8-11 years), U11s, U13s and U15s). https://aberystwyth.play-cricket.com/home
Photos from the South Wales Cricket Association awards evening and dinner. Proudly receiving their awards from SWCA President Robert Croft and former England cricket captain David Gower are Ted Jones for the division's top wicket taker and skipper Adam Shaw for the most dismissals. Da iawn bois!
Been a long, hot summer but I'm so proud of all the players who've contributed to this @aberystwythcc.bsky.social www.cambrian-news.co.uk/sport/cricke...

Amazing feat from Steffan Roberts in our match against Maesteg Celtic 2nd XI on Saturday. Steff took his first ever career hat-trick before scoring an unbeaten 101 - becoming the first player in the club's history to take a hat-trick and score a century in the same game. (FAO @thecricketer.com)
Buzzed by an RAF A400M Atlas swooping over Pen Dinas Iron Age hill fort. Just another day at the Aberystwyth Cricket Festival... 😁
Day 2 of the Cricket Wales Aberystwyth Festival. Rain (had almost forgotten about that stuff) spoiled the morning but play commenced in the afternoon including a last ball thriller between the West and North regions. Plus the burgers available at the bar are not half bad…
Looking forward to welcoming all our guests tomorrow
James Vaughan@equusonthebuses.bsky.social · 2mo agoAll set at Clwb Criced Aberystwyth for the 40th annual Cricket Wales juniors festival. Starts tomorrow and runs through to Friday 21 August. Fair to say the ground has looked a little greener in previous years...
This is a brilliant post from @glamcricket.bsky.social and a really interesting and important reflection on Welsh-Indian connections in cricket and sporting history
So proud of @rachelolympics.bsky.social today. First ever hardball cricket match and it's only a bleedin' international debut. Wales over 50s vs England. Rach got 1 not out, so she's basically undefeated as a batter in international cricket. As Richie Benaud would say, "Marvellous effort that"
Great Dynamos to hard ball transition session with the juniors at @aberystwythcc.bsky.social this evening #cricket #coaching
Beat the weather today and got a full game on at the Geufron between Aberystwyth University and an excellent Hartpury side.
Super trip down to Ynystawe CC on Sunday. What a great venue. And the oppo were awesome - a hard-fought game, as it should be, with beers and chat after. Great day out with the boys...

Gorgeous day at @aberystwythcc.bsky.social yesterday for the first Aberystwyth University CC home game of the season. And a home win over UWE 2nd XI to boot. Da iawn, bois
Getting ready for the season at @aberystwythcc.bsky.social. Another cut n roll tomorrow morning and we’re good to go… 🏏🏏🏏
Hard working volunteers down at @aberystwythcc.bsky.social this week. Square scarified, seeded and new loam on. Covers and sightscreens secured for the winter. Nets and clubhouse spruced up. Thanks to everyone who came along to help out!
Parkinson interview with Dickie Bird back in 1993 captures something of the man's obsessiveness, anxieties, and sheer love of the game of cricket. Nice anecdotes, too. #RIPDickie
Beautifully sunny but a wee bit soggy down at the ground today so, sadly, the final game of the year fell victim to yesterday’s rain…
Wonderful performances from Aber CC's Ted Elias Jones for Cricket Wales North U13s this week. 64 against Shropshire followed by a brilliant century against Cheshire. A super talented cricketer with a big future. Llongyfarchiadau!
First defeat of the SWCA season on Saturday. We were missing a couple of bowlers but it was the batting top order misfiring for the first time this year that cost us and congrats to Swansea CC on a deserved victory...
Another win for the SWCA XI this afternoon. 83 for skipper, Adam Shaw. Two wickets on debut for Dafydd Williams. Super impressed by a very young Pontarddulais Golds side, though. Lots of really talented youngsters who battled hard all the way…
