I found several letters from Theodor Adorno to Meyer Schapiro while doing research in the latter's archive at Columbia, including several letters concerning efforts to get Walter Benjamin out of Europe.

Would be really cool if the organizations that could call out actual antisemitism centered around the state of Israel - migrants as pawns of an Israeli-led Great Replacement conspiracy - had not burned all their credibility defending Netanyahu and the IDF from highly credible war crimes charges.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Laurence Silberstein, emeritus at Lehigh University. No relation (as far as I know) but I greatly benefited from his scholarship on post-Zionism.

It’s embarrassing that the rabbi of Central Synagogue - one of the most prominent Reform rabbis in the US - is portraying Mamdani’s accurate description of Netanyahu as a war criminal as a sign of antisemitism. This is part of why young people take antisemitism less seriously than they should.

She's definitely not running for Senate, which would require her to forfeit her seat in the House because she can't be listed for two different races on the same primary ballot.

I was waiting for someone to make this totally ignorant comparison of DSA to the Militant tendency. DSA is not infiltrating small party meetings under the discipline of democratic centralism to select candidates. They're winning primaries. They don't have those for MPs in the UK.
