And if you already signed and share, thank you. Now share it again so others can support us also! This is what we are fighting for. We don’t expect to get filthy rich doing local news. But we deserve financial security. We also pay for gas and groceries, not just report on increasing prices.

I will always be baffled when I offer to talk to sources, communications folks *off the record* to make sure I don’t insert mistakes to a story, and they don’t take me up on it. Happens all the time.

I am not a U.S. citizen. I got jury duty notice from Philly a couple times. The postcard instructs you to take an online questionnaire, which asks if you are a U.S. citizen. After you say “no” you are told you are ineligible for jury duty. That’s why it’s in the “non-juror” records.

Lots of non-citizens are on the jury pool in Philly because they use DMV records and local tax payments to build their master list. (They get out of jury duty by simply notifying the court they aren't citizens.) This man isn't dumb. He's a con artist.

U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi dismisses DOJ's lawsuit seeking New Jersey's full voter roll. The Trump administration is now 0-18 in district courts on this issue. Last week's disclosure that some noncitizens were registered to vote by a glitch didn't change Quraishi's analysis.

Some abolitionists once played up an antislavery version of George Washington to try to end slavery. Now the Trump administration is doing it to deny slavery mattered at all. I wrote about the new exhibit at the President’s House in Philly for @theatlantic.com. www.theatlantic.com/culture/2026...

Washington, the Useful Abolitionist

In Philadelphia, the Trump administration downplays the importance of slavery to understanding the first president.

I moved to Philadelphia in 2016. Since: Eagles win Super Bowl, Phillies sign Bryce Harper, Sixers draft Maxey, Phillies win Pennant, Eagles go to Super Bowl, Eagles win another Super Bowl, Sixers draft VJ, Flyers draft Martone, Sixers get LeBron. Correlation does not equal causation, and yet.

I’m so scared from the past decade of the Sixers finding new and creative ways to stab me in the heart that I’m nervous that the team didn’t say anything about LeBron yet.

just recorded the LeBron James Is A Sixer episode on year 13 of The Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast everything in our lives has led to this. none of us have ever done anything wrong, since this is the universe where LeBron willingly picks the Process Sixers see you at the parade. i'm drunk
