Accessibility Summer Camp

We provide a virtual conference each June for educators, businesses, and other professionals to learn about accessibility issues, tools and techniques for making opportunity and learning available for all.
Writing alt text doesn’t have to be complicated. A few simple steps can make your images more accessible in online spaces. From being clear and concise to focusing on what matters most, small changes can make a big impact. #AccessibilitySummerCamp #Accessibility
Quick Fix Friday: Make designs easier to read using a color contrast checker. ✔️ Use dark text on light backgrounds ✔️ Aim for strong contrast ✔️ Check your colors before you publish This video shows example of bad contrast (white text over yellow) & then correction of light text over black
Color contrast can make or break your design. If text is hard to read, your message gets lost. Strong contrast helps ensure your content is clear, readable, and accessible to more people. Before you publish, use a color contrast checker to make sure your design is accessible.
Accessibility isn’t just about meeting requirements, it’s about creating better experiences for everyone. From captions on videos to easy-to-read text and simple navigation, these choices help everyone engage with content more easily, no matter their environment or ability.
Accessibility starts with your workflow. Small, consistent actions like adding alt text, checking color contrast, using captioning tools, and planning ahead can make a big impact over time. #AccessibilitySummerCamp #Accessibility
