A smart little new moth last night, Cydia cosmophorana with a record 17 Small Mottled Willow & a Palpita vitrealis, best of the locals 3 Coleophora clypeiferella, 3 Pima boisduvaliella, Ethmia quadrillella, 2 Nyctegretis lineana & a Coast Dart #teammoth
A record 5 Herald on the sugar last night (with 2 Old Lady), only other moths of note Clavigesta sylvestrana, Shaded Fan-foot & a Small Mottled Willow

Despite 10+ Painted Lady, 2 Red Admiral & a Humming-bird H-m in the garden yesterday the only migrants overnight were a few Diamondbacks, but any night with a Star-wort can't be bad!
1st trap of the year produced a lifer, Great Prominent (scarce in N.E. Suffolk) with 2 Diamond-back & a Silver Y also at least 10 Painted Lady heading north through the garden
Hesperantha coccinea 'Eric's Early', starts in august & still going strong + Salvia haenkei, the best its looked all summer but not for much longer! (tender) #ukGardening 🌱
A new micro in the garden this year were 3 Chionodes distinctella, though it seems to be incredibly variable & could be fumatella (esp. No. 2), opinions welcome!. Also new was Great green Bush-cricket

Last night produced Convolvulus Hawk NFY, Clancy's Rustic NFY, a standard issue Pearly Underwing & an Ethmia bipunctella (something I don't see every year) also a bit of a Scarce Bordered Straw surge (5)
