I wanted a simple meal. Fried eggs with rice. Cook some rice then go to fry up some eggs. I try to crack one- it's hard. I'm confused- so I peel it... It's frozen. Completely frozen. No idea why. It's only ever been in the fridge. Even weirder? All the other eggs are fine. Only one egg is frozen.

When I first designed Rowe, she was a much more a tsundere type, more tired and put upon and more gate-keepy about anime. As time went on, I found that she was much more fun and compelling as a big earnest dork. Much closer to my own personal experiences growing up as an anime fan anyway.

Compared to my usual character Irina Koshka, who is very friendly and congenial, Jez wants everyone around her to feel just a little bit uncomfortable with her presence. She is an inquisitor after all. It'll be very fun to play her in the coming weeks.

Her attitude is largely informed by her semi-namesake, Nonon Jakuzure, as well as Haruko Haruhara from FLCL. Very nasally voice. You can hear her smirking with pretty much every one of her lines. Her hairstyle and hat is an adaptation of Hoshimachi Suisei's, just more... inquisitorial.

God. Oh my fucking god. I just-... I really don't know what to say. I'll be honest- this debt has been hanging over my head for years like a sword. It motivated some of my worst habits as an artist, just trying to stay on top of it. For a while I thought I'd never be rid of it.

I'll be working hard to get as much art of the art I owe finished before I leave for the Philippines! And when I return, it'll be with a smile on my face, knowing that there are so many people out there who care for me and are looking out for me. Thank you, everyone. Thank you so very much...~

I saw so many names I recognized. Several who I've known for years. A few of my own peers as TF artists. Many folks who've I've never spoken to but recognize as someone who's always like my art. Yet no matter how small the intersection of our lives... So many of you helped. So many of you helped...
