randomly giving out genuine compliments is such an easy way to make the world a little nicer, i'm always surprised more people haven't figured that out and have a ton of respect for those who have

My five year old is talking about the "Draft Kings Sports App" and it really pisses me off that we allow advertising for gambling on regular TV.
Would have never guessed this quick little thing would become my second most hearted @codepen.io demo ever. (there's very little in terms of lines of CSS, but it's all heavily commented, explaining the why behind every choice)

Made the mistake of using booking.com to rent a car. Never, ever again. Next time, I will book directly with a rental company that has self-checkout. I don't do this often enough to have muscle memory.

Alan Johnson@acjay.com · 3mo agoMy aunt was in the first co-ed class at Princeton. I ended up going there for grad school, and I wouldn't have even applied if not for my aunt asking my mom if I was considering Princeton.
Reagan introduced ideological disdain for the state into the core of Republican politics. MAGA extends that to all impersonal institutions.
I arrived at my theory of MAGA by trying to understand how something like "Paxton or Talarico?" is even an open question.

He was impeached by his own party for corruption. Now he’s the Republican nominee for US Senate in Texas. Together we will stop him.
Maybe young people want their own stuff, not the stuff their grandparents are into.
