In the wee hours of the morning, HB 180 PASSED! 🗳️ HB 180 would restore voting rights to Delawareans after they complete felony sentences, ensuring that people returning home can fully participate in the communities they live, work, and raise families in. ✊

🏳️‍⚧️ Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states may ban transgender girls from participating on girls' and women's school sports teams. This is a heartbreaking decision. Delaware law still protects students from discrimination based on gender identity, but... 1/2

🗳️ DELAWARE MAKES HISTORY HB 444 has passed the Delaware General Assembly. With this vote, Delaware becomes the first state in the nation following the devastating Louisiana v. Callais decision to enact a state-level Voting Rights Act. It heads to Governor Meyer’s desk to be signed into law. 🗳️✊

On this day in 2015, the Supreme Court issued a landmark decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, striking down all bans on marriage for LGBTQ couples nationwide. The victory came not just as a result of our lawsuit, but as a culmination of decades of advocacy from LGBTQ activists across the nation.
