𓆙serpentine𓆙 Cackling because let's get the most depressed motherfucker out of my muses (which says a lot) into a wacky silly situation for enrichment reasons

" 𝙲𝚊𝚗 𝚊 𝚖𝚊𝚗 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚊𝚜𝚑 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚋𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚍 ?" | SGT. Ramon Vera | ODST | Halo RP | | Multiship | MDNI | 21+ |
- MSGT Jameson Kard - 19th ODST Shock Trooper Battalion - Cutlass Squad - Old Man "𝓗𝓲𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓭𝓮𝓬𝓴, 𝓭𝓻𝓸𝓹 𝓪 𝓯𝓮𝔀 𝓫𝓸𝓭𝓲𝓮𝓼, 𝓴𝓮𝓮𝓹 𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓶 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓬𝓪𝓻𝓻𝔂 𝓸𝓷."
"Hard to pretend when there's no energy to keep up the act." He lowered the bottle again, dark sunken eyes flitting towards her. "At least with this," The soldier gestured towards the alcohol, "I can at least find a way to feel something that isn't just heavy."
ㅤ ㅤ.. agh, jesus, you're kinda cramping my vibe, dawg... ( * 💧 ) ㅤyou ever considered . . just straight pretending ? ㅤlike, shit dude, i know a lot about livin' in a shithole, and ain't * nobody know that. ㅤ
"Unfortunately, my life is a depressing one. If I don't have to think about anything, I'll be fine." Lifting the bottle back up to take another sip from it. "If the cigarettes don't kill me, maybe this will. Eventually."
ㅤ ㅤ. . i mean, shit, yeah. but, like, iunno. you're supposed to forget so you can get lit, y'know ? ㅤforgettin' so you can do * nothing is, like... lowk depressing. ㅤ
He glances over at them, brow raised as he pauses, lowering the bottle. "Can't a fella drink to forget?"
ㅤ ㅤgoddamn bruh calm down it ain't goin' nowhere ㅤ
He's gripping a bottle of tequila by the neck. Twisting the cap off and drinking straight from the bottle .
He's awake . . . Couldn't sleep again . . .
"He wouldn't recognize me, hell, he barely recognized me when I last saw him." He tightened his grip onto the bottle, the ODST's dark eyes lifting up to meet with the old man's gaze. "He'd probably see me as some poor bastard who's down on his luck. He . . . Wasn't all there in the end. —
- he wouldn’t have expected any kind of grim surprise to hit him, but Ramon had clearly been through it. “What would your dad think…” He pulled his right hand free and gently tapped the table with a finger. “…if he saw you like this. Hm?”
𓆙Serpentine𓆙 I love my OCs so much. I love putting them through the meat grinder and traumatizing them
"My father. He was all that I had left after the glassing of our homeworld. We made it out, just barely. He went back into the forces to fight, I joined not long after. Didn't see him for a while after that." The ODST brings the bottle back up towards his lips,—
“Life is what you make of it.” The first comment intrigued him a little more than the frankly depressing bit of anxiety right at the end. Maybe that was just how his brain worked? Curiosity over sympathy? That didn’t sound healthy when he thought about it. He sat down. “Who’s ‘he’?”
"I don't want to be defined by the things that have beaten me down into the dirt. It's no wonder he ended up . . . going the path he did." A weak laugh escaped as he forced a smile that threatened to falter. "I know life isn't fair, but Christ, there's got to be something better than this."
- about the stuff that made you who you are then you’ll lose yourself.”
"There's a lot I would rather forget. Things I've seen, things I've had to do, things I've said. Often times I swear I'm God's favorite fool." He swirls the liquid around in the bottle somewhat, glancing down at it and then back over at him. "It's been one thing after another for a while."
He can’t help but sigh. “Pain isn’t something to drown.”
"I suppose you and I have similar ideas about it." Either way, he knew how to pace himself well enough to keep from reaching blackout levels. "Sometimes it makes everything feel better for just a little while. Nothing to worry about."
"Lot's of things are suppose to be sipped and I ignore it, what's the fun on taking it slow?" She picks the bottle back and give it another swig.
"I feel like you'd like limoncello. I'll have to make a new batch of it soon." The ODST takes another swig of the alcohol before offering it back over to her. "I like making it now and then. It's supposed to be sipped, but that doesn't stop me."
"Currently inclining on the sour side too, but for me, anything that gets the job done is worth it." Not that it was an easy feat to get the job done on her...
"Fair enough. Figured I'd ask, I know some people have specific tastes." He moved the carton and lighter back into his pockets and reached for the bottle, taking a swig from it himself. "If it's strong enough to mess me up, I'll drink it. Or if it's sour. Anything lemon or lime is good."
She stopped the swig and looked at him. "Oh, sorry... Force of habits." And offered the bottle back at him. "Anything alcohol is my type of poison, I'm not picky."
He glanced over in her direction, his tired gaze falling on her. "Its not a bad brand. It's supposed to be a decent one." He shoved both hands into his pockets and pulled out a lighter and a small carton. "Got a favorite of the poisons?"
She accepts the bottle, takes a swig straight out of it, no second thoughts.
𓆙Serpentine𓆙 I meant to make that a qrt not a reply 😭
He drinks to escape from himself. From the guilt and the shame that seems to plague him, no matter what he tries to do. . . . It's not the best of habits, but it could always be much worse. Just as long as he can forget the pain, that's all that matters. . . . He offers the bottle of tequila.
She drinks exactly to stop being alone with her thoughts, gotta drink until she passes out for that.
Oh—. He's got some tequila to share. It's better to drink with someone so one isn't alone with their thoughts.
No, mo... She is fine with a drinking buddy this time.
Fair enough. If ever she's looking for someone, he'll be around.
Eh, not at all this time.
Would she be opposed to having a drinking buddy?
Father's day over. Back to drinking.
. . . He pauses, lowering the bottle. "It's better this way. Makes the day less painful to think about."
He's . . . Drinking from a bottle of tequila now.
Father's Day . . . Not a very good day for him .
