Hi all! For a new art project, I am looking for research and specialists on the domestication(s) of wolves (becoming dogs). Any anthropologists/archaeologists out there that I can connect to (and pick their brains 😀)? It will become a (digitally animated) video installation.

Sunday, October 5th, my first ever augmented reality installation ‘opens’ as part of Blunderen festival, a coproduction of The Butterfly House and Bonnefanten museum Maastricht. An artistic information panel points to the browser-based work, Carbon Complex 👉www.carboncomplex.alexandracrouwers.com

Preparing for a studio visit tomorrow AND the presentation of the virtual sculpture Tools (v004) at the Flemish Royal Academy for Science and the Arts in Brussels next week. I do seem to accumulate a lot of equipment, I noticed. I buy used mostly, and repurpose them for art. Artistic refurbishing!

Hive mind of the interwebs! Can anyone tell me something about this vessel I found in an Antwerp thrift shop? It looks old, but I can’t find similar shapes to compare. (I have a thing for old, basic pottery, so couldn’t resist taking this one home 😀) #pottery
