I learned how to use a new toy today~ Used a neat little remotely piloted robotic spotlight instead of my usual full followspot~ >>~<<

The spider is scurrying about the theater once again, tending to all of my lights~ It feels nice, having a calling that feeds my core, rather than draining from it. uuwuu Though the weeks spent away from my nest and games are admittedly a bit saddening, no diving for the spider..~

Fufufu, my nest grows more comfy still. Needed to get some new tools for new furniture though aawaa

I even scavenged an ancient little VR headset, which is kinda fun~ I tried out a few silly little games that were on sale, and found that I have very poor aim with actual ironsights ::3 I always aim a little too high, misalign the sights >>.>>

I’m coming out of a pretty bad year in a bad spot, but moved to a new nest and where I’ll be safer, and hopefully happier~ Things slowly improve, from the bottoms of all bad situations it seems.

aawaa I live again

The spider, finally free of the binding webs of the work rush, has been stricken down by cobid. I’ve had it for a handful of days now, but am finally better enough to have semi rational thought and clear enough vision to see what I’m typing. ;;-;; Hope will get better soon. Please stay safe dears~

As I’ve been recovering from December, I ended up picking up Ship Graveyard Simulator, and gods below, is it the perfect sort of itch for my methodical brain. It has the scale I wanted out of Shipbreaker, with it’s own little spin on the genre. Has left me in much improved spirits than usual~

I think I’m slowly projecting my desire for more board games onto those around me, like five different people got one this year. Maybe it’s just a subconscious excuse to go and spend time with someone learning their games, rather than luring people into my nest to capture them and play stuff I own~

Mmh, got time to actually spend time with friends, both yesterday and today, if at least a bit~ The break from toil has been greatly enjoyed, gave me the much needed time to handle scurrying about for gift shopping~ I hope all of you are having a good time for the holidays, and enjoying yourselves~

Sorry for going so quiet all month dears, I’ve been working with little to no rest and just about as much sleep for most of November and December. It’s a really busy time for me, and the biggest performance we put together all year~ I look forward to spending time with frens after, am doing okay~

This has honestly been something kicking around the back of my brain for a long time. I even have a handful of the technical aspects of how some systems would work for it, and how each Guild Master (DM) would be able to contribute when not playing their adventurers. One day I’ll have the time for it

I feel that, my work is too demanding and unpredictable to play much. I was thinking of making an adventurer’s guild styled campaign with multiple character slots per player, and a bounty board one-shot system for quests that anyone can dm as needed. I just need the time to flesh it out ;;^;;

I took the time amidst the nature things and the time I spent working to step back and play something calmer, narrative heavy. It gives a mind space to process, alongside a little spark of joy in creation~ All in all, Slay the Princess was my choice for it this time, and it was a lovely experience.

I find it kind of funny that I don’t even wear my robes for decency or warmth, it’s honestly just to have a hood to tuck all my hair into so it doesn’t try to invade my food >>.>>

A week of rest, and tentative writing~ I have so many swirling ideas for different hooks and plot-lines and fun ways to explore bits of backstory, but where exactly to start is something that always has, and currently is, stumping me. The ideas clash and swirl in the webs that makes up my brain 😖

And with that, there’s sorting all the new cards from The Dream-Eaters into the rest of my collection so far~ Lots of new fun ideas swirling around for the next time I kidnap enough dears to play~ This was honestly a very relaxing capstone to my night, I’m a very happy spider. #ArkhamHorrorTCG

Got myself a little treat for surviving the last week of weaving an Opera together~ The collection slowly expands, growing close and closer to it’s final shape of completion~ Hm, I just realized I haven’t posted my board game collection on here yet, maybe after my next grand sorting and cleaning.

Mmh~ I finally had time to properly rest, no surprise sickness, only light soreness, and a period of prolonged unconsciousness after the trenches of daily life’s obligations and necessities~ Managed to fall asleep without a problem, which is rare for my skittering self~

I decided to Categorize the Vtubers I follow and watch into Phylum's of the animal Kingdom. I ran into a slight issue when I got to some of the Cryptids and other creatures but I think I improvised well. Note if anyone knows of a Nematoad or Flatworm Vtuber let me know.

Well, Luxia came from the Latin word for light, combined with my avatar’s original name when she was a TTRPG character, Ariia~ There’s a neat little lore reason that I haven’t finished refining yet~ Caretaker is easy, I love caring for others. <3

How did everyone pick their username or Vtuber name? My grandmother could not say my English name. She only spoke Spanish, and saying it annoyed her. So she called me Valerie. Which is weird - and no where near close to my actual name. So, since Valerie was created by Grandma, felt is fair. 1/2
