I remember as a kid thinking Dimetrodon was a dinosaur, only later to learn it is NOT! Dimetrodons were a type of synapsid, not related to dinosaurs at all! #dimetrodon #prehistoric #synapsid #drawing #characterdesign #creaturedesign #illustration

One of my fave new beasties from the Jurassic franchise, featuring in the latest film “Rebirth” - the Mutadon! Loved this fearsome dragon-like critter so much! #fanart #jurassicworld #jurassicpark #jurassicworldrebirth #dinosaur #drawing #creature #illustration

Do you believe in Bigfoot? I’m a skeptic myself, but I was obsessed with cryptids as a kid. If this forest creature of legend is real, I can definitely see why they would want to avoid humans. #bigfoot #sasquatch #doodle #characterdesign #illustration #drawing

Following my second viewing of “K-Pop Demon Hunters” on @netflix.com , I just had to do some fan art with a summer vibe. I loved this movie! Hoping there’s a follow-up! #fanart #kpopdemonhunters #netflix #illustration #art #drawing #characterdesign

This little critter can be found in the deep and dark caverns, his bioluminescence lighting the way as he searches for food. #creaturedesign #characterdesign #visdev #illustration #art #conceptart

New character for tonight, from the same world as our friend the avian/marsupial cave creature. Swipe to see the difference in scale between them. #visdev #characterdesign #conceptdesign #art #illustration

Fun creature design from last night. I envision them as a very large cave dwelling creature evolved from marsupials and avian species. Probably name them Sergio. #characterdesign #creaturedesign #illustration #visdev #drawing

Words cannot express the gratitude that I feel for all of you who keep showing up to my little corner of social media! I am humbled and honored to be part of this community. Thank you for 25k follows! Y’all are amazing! #nostalgia #illustration #characterdesign #fanart #dinosaur #drawing

One of my favorite dino puppets from the 1993 film “Super Mario Bros,” their take on Yoshi! It may not be faithful to the game, but that never bothered me as a kid. Love or hate it, this film has some hilarious moments and is so watchable! #yoshi #supermariobros #dinosaur #characterdesign

If you recognize this “rock legend,” your childhood was awesome. #fanart #jimhenson #disney #dinosaurs #robbiesinclair #drawing #characterdesign

One of my all-time favorite movies as a kid (as well as cartoon shows), “The Flintstones” ‘94. I was obsessed with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and Dino’s live action counterpart was so expertly designed I remember being in awe. #flintstones #dinothedinosaur #jimhensoncreatureshop #fanart

Throwback to my childhood, with Tasha from the “Land of the Lost” 1991 reboot tv series. Though it only lasted about 2 seasons, I loved it! Animatronic puppet/suits and stop-motion animation? Yes! #fanart #tvshows #nostalgia #90s #landofthelost #sidandmartykrofft #illustration #drawing #dinosaur

Stitch decided to hijack this trend and it looks like his friend is about to Bolt. Happy 626 Day! (This post is best when paired with the final movement of Taylor Swift’s “Ready For It?”) #fanart #swiftie #disney #disneycharacters #bolt #dog #stitch #liloandstitch

Trying a new textured liner brush, this one is called Shale and it’s amazing. You can find it in the Calligraphy tool set in Procreate! #sketch #doodle #drawing #shapelanguage #characterdesign #visdev #stubbstheunicorn

Could this be the bottom of the Chasm of Doubt, or is it somewhere else entirely? It could simply be a “bat cave.” I’m told that’s where you find baseball bats in their natural habitat. #illustration #comic #stubbstheunicorn #characterdesign #creaturedesign #drawing

“Draw me like one of your French dinosaurs, Jack.” Let’s face it, it’s a Jurassic summer and it’s time for some dinos. Just a bit of funny for the evening. You know, no frills (okay maybe some frills in this case). #triceratops #dinosaur #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #doodle #characterdesign

They’re the character in the sci-fi movie that drafts multiple complex mathematical formulas, then comes up with the answer- but will it be too late? (In case you thought I was any good at math, that’s not a real equation btw) #characterdesign #doodle #drawing #illustration #visdev #art

The final image including a cover concept of this particular Stubbs the Unicorn adventure, which now has an official title! I’m excited to go down this path and see where it leads! #stubbstheunicorn #illustration #visualstorytelling #visdev #characterdesign

Happy Ghostbusters Day everyone!! I had to sneak in something new for today, to celebrate one of my all-time favorite film series! #ghostbusters #fanart #terrordog #iaintafraidofnoghost #whoyougonnacall #ghostbustersday #illustration #drawing

I don’t post preliminary stuff often but I had to for this! A tense scene, Mick the goblin atop Stubbs’s back as they attempt to figure a way down to the bottom of the sheer rock face. The journey downward will be treacherous! #visdev #storytelling #sketch #illustration #drawing #characterdesign

Late night dragons are always fun to doodle. I’m calling this one Ashe. He can be a bit prickly, but despite his sharp teeth and spikes he’s actually an accomplished tennis player who also enjoys reading regency era romance books. #dragon #characterdesign #conceptart #visdev #illustration #drawing

One final MerMay drawing, this one being Day 31 - “Serenity.” I saved my blue buddy Stubbs for the FIN-ale!Thanks for another year of this great art challenge, I loved every minute of it and I loved spending time with y’all! #stubbstheunicorn #mermay2025 #unicorn #serenity #drawingchallenge

This was probably the most special piece of MerMay for me this year. I wasn’t originally a fan or even aware of it until about a decade ago, and now it is one of my all time favorites. Day 29 - “Wicked” #wicked #mermay2025 #mermay #mermaid #elphaba #defyinggravity #oz #drawingchallenge

MerMay Day 27: “Oasis.” Sometimes feeling like a fish out of water is in fact a very GOOD thing! We’re all capable of more than we know, if we just try. #oasis #merman #mermay2025 #mermaid #illustration #drawingchallenge #characterdesign #palmtree

Late to the party this time, but here’s a “ferocious” 626 merm for MerMay Day 23 - “Stitch.” Had fun coming up with his fins and tail. I’m a bit swamped at the moment so I only had a little time to squeeze this one in. #stitch #liloandstitch #disney #fanart #mermay2025 #mermaid #drawingchallenge

Something totally normal for MerMay Day 20 - Clown. Totally normal and not at all scary. As long as…you don’t swipe….don’t….swipe….. 🤡 #mermay2025 #clown #creepyclown #pennywise #jellyfish #mermaid #mermay #drawingchallenge

You knew Mother Monster would come into play for MerMay Day 18 - Abracadabra. It was about time I took matters into my own tentacles for at least one of the days, and @ladygaga just works. #fanart #ladygaga #mothermonster #abracadabra #ladygagamayhem #mermay2025 #mermaid #drawingchallenge

I feel like you can’t get much more eccentric than Theresa Caputo, aka The Long Island Medium. The hair and the outfits alone, honey! My contribution to MerMay Day 17 - “Eccentric” #mermay2025 #mermaid #eccentric #illustration #drawingchallenge #mermay #characterdesign #longislandmedium

She is over all of that sun and sand, but she has her Poe and her evil sandpiper companion. And most importantly, she has shade. I didn’t see this one coming at ALL. Somehow, MerMay Day 16 - “Beach Goth” became one of my faves to draw! #beachgoth #mermay2025 #mermaid #drawingchallenge

Quick one for MerMay Day 15 - “Peach,” partly inspired by old fruit packing crate labels with that cool vintage artwork you always see (but a little cheekier 😂). #mermay2025 #mermay #merman #mermaid #peach #illustration #drawingchallenge #characterdesign
