So like, it's ok to feel doomed. I guess if you wanna be a doomer, that's your choice. It's not ok to succumb to nihilism in a world where children still exist and people still make people. The "obligation to endure" applies to we the living as well as the future. Reciprocity. Relationship.

There are no "burdensome" regulation. Rules of the road that say I get to know my bread is more than sawdust, that say workers get a safe shop? They are sacred. Hi. I think if I could afford actual access to medical care I would want the people who make medical devices (not just the white collars) to be paid enough to live. I make medical devices (I'm real good at what I do too, as are my comrades).

64 years ago, on the 27th of September 1962, Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring was published. It handled the environmental harm caused by the pesticide DDT and the disinformation spread by the chemical industry. Carson managed to sway public opinion and even policy. #otd #history 🗃️
