Disappointing to see cops called on a street artist in Digbeth this afternoon, apparently by Custard Factory security staff. The artist was painting onto street hoarding already covered in art and tags, within a complex famous for graffiti, in a Birmingham neighborhood equally famous for the same.

UK train prices means it generally works out much cheaper for me to cover news stories in mainland Europe than it does for me to do the same in London (when I'm not staying in the capital long-term) I'm guessing this is common?

A lot of fear mongering online currently about the UK Muslim population outnumbering the 'native' Christian population. A reminder that the UK has around 27.5M (46.2%) Christians, down by under 13% from over a decade ago; and only 3.9M (6.5%) Muslims, up around 1.5%.

In 2009, Switzerland banned minarets on mosques despite only having 4 mosques in the entire country with minarets. On January 1, 2025, the country will be banning the wearing of niqabs and "burkas" despite only a small portion of the country's 5.4% Muslim population wearing the clothing items.
