@mjwhansen.com did I somehow miss it, or did you forget to actually say where @leenyburger.bsky.social got hired in the new ep? At one point you say something like “and Colleen was hired by… oh wait we should talk about why you aren’t at Geocodio anymore” and I don’t think you came back to it. 😂
[spends months building up a new daily routine] [forgets one day] [never does it ever again]
One of the hardest things to explain to people without ADHD: • when it’s interesting, I can start on it • when it’s uninteresting, I can’t Note that the second one is not “I don’t want to.” I literally CAN’T. I have to convince my brain it is interesting to even get started.
I hate deadlines (but I need deadlines) & I hate structure (but I need structure)
I never played the original Star Fox 64. Is the new Switch 2 remake worth checking out for someone without the nostalgia hook?
The ADHD urge to think I can learn a new language before an international trip next year… Or next month… Or next week…
My toxic trait is saying yes to things I have the ability to do, without considering if I have the time, energy, or motivation.
ADHD is like 50% not working, 50% working frantically to make up for the not working part, 50% thinking about the work I should be doing (but not actually working), and 50% not sleeping (but trying to).
ADHD packing list: • 7 books you won’t read • ipad full of movies/shows you won’t watch • random crap that sounded important 5 minutes before you left • extra toothbrush? Stuff forgotten: • toothpaste • an entire category of clothing • one REALLY important cable
The ADHD urge to buy a thing, watch all the videos about the thing, religiously track shipping until the thing arrives, excitedly open the shipping box to get to the thing, and then place the thing somewhere random and forget about it for 3-60 months.
[doing things I’m bad at] “ugh, I suck at everything” [doing things I’m good at] “this doesn’t count because it’s easy for me”
My one request for WWDC is the same as it’s been for the last decade. Custom watchfaces for Apple Watch.
ADHD symptoms be like: • annoys teachers • hard to parent • not great at jobs • kinda creative? • too quiet • too loud • too sensitive • too much
ADHD is always hearing “you’re doing it wrong” even though your way works.
“I hope that made sense” “I’m fine either way” “Anyways, sorry I’m rambling a bit” “Just a thought, whatevs” — little anxiety-fueled gifts I like to send along with any communication in an attempt to shield myself from rejection
If boredom feels like literal pain, you might want to look into ADHD.
My vibe is feeling overwhelmed but also like I’m not doing enough.
“You can just make it a habit” = the big lie for fixing ADHD problems.
ADHD is thinking about all the things you have to do, getting stressed about all the things, worrying about the consequences of not doing the things, but still feeling stuck and unable to do any of the things.
Lazy = I don’t want to do the thing. ADHD = I desperately WANT to do the thing, but I just can’t seem to START doing the thing.
The hidden burden of undiagnosed ADHD is constantly inventing excuses in an attempt to justify behavior you don’t even understand yourself.

HEY PALS ITS BOOTCAMP TIME AGAIN! Every year I run an #ADHD-friendly, organizing and decluttering workshop that spans 40 hours and will help you get all the main areas of your house, organized, de-doom box your doom boxes, and set up your spaces to be maintainable in the future.
Strengths: works well under pressure Weaknesses: doesn’t work otherwise
Welp, getting detained at the border wasn’t on my bingo card but here we are. (I’m fine now and it was sorted relatively quickly)
I am _BEGGING_ conference organizers to put names on both sides of conference name tags. Every time I look at someone’s conf badge at #atmosphereconf to see if it’s someone I might know, I just see this:
