Outcomes of the Global Peatlands Assessment for Africa presented today at #COP28, with Ifo Suspense, Jean-Jacques Bambuta, @simonlewis.bsky.social and Lera Miles. Several African countries include peatlands in their NDCs for many years - a very good example how to address them in climate policies!

Welcome @niklasdomke.bsky.social @iatd-hu.bsky.social @thaer-inst.bsky.social at Humboldt-Unviersität zu Berlin. Niklas wrote an excellent MSc-thesis at IATD on the opportunity cost of rewetting farmed peatland in 🇩🇪. He will work on our new project on peatland GHG emission data & the EU context.
