Hello there. I'm a part time hoosk who drives a Zamboni, teaches people how to fly airplanes, and is a Midwest ski patroller. I also run around with a camera. Pfp: @Direwalf Banner: me (at my winter homeland)
Rule 37 and 11/16 of being a Zamboni driver. Thou shalt beep the horn as many times as people want. Less you suffer the wrath of Gordie Howes ghost. ✍️: Nissou
It be August. One month closer to mornings like this again. Da hoosk is waiting.
I think one reason I like the night shows at Oshkosh so much is for about 30 glorious minutes is we’re all just aviators. We’re not red or blue. We’re not black or white. It’s no we vs they. For 30 glorious minutes we’re all just aviators watching one of the best fire works displays on earth.
Still working through my Oshkosh photos. Continuous shutter release is fun.
Doing some sprinkler system repairs for a neighbor. Getting flashbacks to Summer 2019-2021 in the Menards sprinkler section. Course I’d rather deal with these then Toro T5 rapid sets. If any of you have rapid sets installed I will swap them to PGPs for you. Rapidsets waste water and break more.
So two years ago we have a Sergeant invite us over for a pic with an Apache. Last year a CW3 invites us over, again for a pic with an Apache. This year the CW3 is now a CW4 (congrats on the promotion) and says “you guys ready for your annual Apache picture?” Before taking pics of us with the CH-47.
Have ya heard? They're airdropping the prettiest Lynx's ever in your AO! #airventure #EAA
This years Oshkosh sticker board is packed. Time for all the stickers
Anyone have an activity that makes them feel more I guess in touch with their sona? For me skiing is definitely when I feel most like Aero. Probably because of the cold and snow. But also because sending it at highway speeds down a hill is fun.
One week till I get to wonder around looking at airplanes and grabbing free stuff in my airplane bubble. Hooooooosk. Oshkosh here I come. 📸: @techno.fur.ski
Last summer I was focusing on just holding it together. This summer I’m slowly starting to feel like me again. Slowly but surely. Hopefully after Oshkosh when I start my MEI that will help move things career wise too. And then cons in the fall.
At a party with some Normie Friends. I have been given a crossbow. Hoosk is unstoppable.
Three months till Hoosk has OEC (Ski patrol medical skills) refresher. I may be excused from toboggan refresher on account of ya know. Hoosk instincts. Honestly I’m counting down the days till I’m back on snow already.
The Wisconsin National Guard in about a week guarding the nations cheese reserves during Oshkosh.
Anyone need some taconite delivered? Maybe some coal brought up the lakes to a power plant? Contact Laker Wusky Shipping. For all your Great Lakes shipping needs. I like the Duluth Ore Docks.
The US has some big things to work on. But it’s still 250 of us telling King George to pound sand. So let’s shoot off some fireworks and have fun.
Happy Canada day to our puck slapping maple sucking neighbors to the North. But seriously to all my friends in Canada you hosers rock.
Be careful when night skiing. Sometimes crazy hoosks are on the slopes too. #WuskyWednesday 📸: @direwalf.bsky.social
