The Aether II Alpha 4 is here! This update introduces the Shifting Glass loot item for dodging and dashing, The Aerbunny Bell companion item, as well as the aquatic Prismallard mob! You can also find improved biome visuals and new structure generation alongside many bug fixes and improvements!

We've released a new hotfix for The Aether II on 26.1.2 This patch includes numerous fixes for crashes and other issues found following the release of Alpha 3 and some back end additions and changes, check out the changelog on modrinth for more details modrinth.com/mod/aether-i...
The Aether II has been ported to 26.1! We're sticking to this drop going forward to build and flesh out The Aether II's content. This updated alpha includes the Golden Wyndberry, which allows you to access the Golden Dandelion mechanic in the dimension, as well as a restored Aether Start config!

The Aether II has been updated to 1.21.11! Along with the port, Alpha 2 brings various new ruin structures across multiple biomes, new blocks to build with, and new loot to add to your arsenal! Rebalanced biome distribution and tweaked world generation also enriches exploration gameplay!
Hey guys just a little note here, Im currently working on a video going through our short and long term plans for The Aether II and discussing how our project is funded and maintained to be more transparent about our financial situation going forward. So expect that to drop in the next few days!

Nearly two years after the project's revival, The Aether II has finally entered Public Alpha Testing! Explore The Aether's Holy Isles, a greatly expanded and reimagined version of the classic dimension, featuring new biomes, mobs, resources, structures, and a reworked Sentry Ruins dungeon.
Still got lots to do, many bits of content to produce over public alpha testing, but already this is easily the best version of the project I've worked on in my 14 years on the project. I hope players agree with us and I hope everyone who worked on the project in the past is proud of the end result
In other news We're aiming to release The Aether II into public alpha testing at the end of February, after roughly 21 months of development following the project's revival in 2024 Genuinely so proud of my small team, really hope people love The Aether II as much as we do!
We recently passed a monumental milestone with 100 *million* total downloads across all our projects on @curseforge.com This time two years ago we celebrated 30 million downloads, so in the last two years alone we got a staggering 70 million downloads! Aether 1 itself has passed 60M alone!

Aether II will feature a Glowstone Portal by default, same as the original mod! To use both mods together, you will need to build the Aether II portal with at least 1 block derived from Quartz. We will be adding visual variants of Quartz and Glowstone to make integrating the two mods visually easier
