Not the usual comforting pressure of Changsheng coiling against him—it’s oppressive, like someone trying to strangle him. He wheezes, pushing at the offending weight, and his fingers brush smooth, cool scales. Too many of them. “...Changsheng?” he croaks, propping himself up. She blinks at him with eyes twice the usual size. Baizhu’s sleep-addled brain finally registers the problem: Changsheng isn’t just larger—she’s doubled in size overnight, her body as thick as his forearm. “What in the name of Rex Lapis did you do?” he shrieks, scrambling upright and nearly toppling from the extra weight. Changsheng flicks her tongue indignantly. “Hmph. I didn’t ‘do’ anything. Unless you count sleeping. I'm losing it, I remember seeing a simple (not detailed anime style...maybe papercraft-ish?) animation of Phainon and Mydei roleplaying with kids about a year ago and I CANNOT find it again. It was in CN or JP but people translated it somewhere. I don't remember if it was official or not.
