I am convinced that Tuchel was tricked by the outcome of the Mexico game and over-rated his team's ability to sit in late. The difference is that Mexico looked devoid of ideas, and Argentina has the best player of all time and a ton of additional options. To play 11 behind the ball was madness.

While the de minimus exemption causes lots of people to realize how tariffs are impacting them directly, I am reminded of the long literature on the different effects of *where* taxes are collected and how that impacts their salience. Should be fun to read the papers in a few years on this topic.
