Today the #SCOTUS struck down the Trump administration’s executive order ending birthright citizenship. We are deeply relieved that the court chose to side with families, morality, common sense, and the fourteenth amendment in this case.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court just dealt a major blow to immigrants. The Court ruled that the Trump administration can: ❌ Turn away asylum seekers at the border. ❌ End Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Haiti and Syria.

Today the Senate voted in favor of a war powers resolution ordering the Trump admin to stop US attacks on Iran. The House passed the same resolution last month; it is the first time since 1973 that both Houses of Congress have ordered a President to end military actions.

The labor and hunger strike at Delaney Hall spotlight the inhuman conditions at the GEO Group run ICE prison. AFSC's Jenny Garcia says that sometimes GEO Group will “pay” a worker with a soda. Nor are provided the proper tools to work, having to buy supplies from the commissary.
