Last month AFSCME members testified at Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) sessions to inform a Workplace Violence Prevention standard! Every person deserves to feel safe in their place of work.

Union busting is disgusting, and blocking raises is outrageous. AFSCME Council 3 held a press conference this morning in front of the USM headquarters to hold the them accountable for unjustified, unnecessary layoffs and illegal raise withholding. USM, we'll see you in court.

We discussed the staffing crisis in the state's correctional facilities & the solutions that we urgently need.

THE MONEY IS THERE! College Park and Bowie State did NOT have to lay off a SINGLE AFSCME member. Senate President Bill Ferguson joined us at our rally last week and confirmed that the General Assembly FULLY FUNDED FY 27 raises for over 6,000 workers represented by AFSCME.
