And that’s a wrap on L.A. Comic Con Day 3! It was another pretty slow day, but I had a blast meeting and catching up with super cool people. Here are a few who stopped by to grab GLITCH! (And of course, I forgot to get photos of some people, but they’re just as fantastic, I promise.)

A photo of Sarah Landauer sitting at her convention table with her chin on her hands. A photo of a man with a red cap holding a GLITCH tote bag. A photo of three people, one in cosplay armor holding GLITCH #1, one in cosplay with a wizard hat, and the other in cosplay with a bird staff. A photo of two people making silly faces while holding a copy of GLITCH #3 upside down.

Day 2 of L.A. Comic Con was a bit slower than expected, but still a great time thanks to some awesome interactions with attendees. ☀️ I remembered to get photos of a few of these awesome people 😎 but forgot some because conventions turn my brain to mush. 🫠

A photo of Sarah Landauer in a black t-shirt with the After Worlds End logo on it, holding a stuffed animal kit fox on her head as she gives the peace sign at her convention table. Photo of a young boy smiling widely while holding a stuffed animal kit fox. Photo of a man wearing glasses and holding a copy of GLITCH #3’s variant cover and matching metal print. Photo of a man holding a GLITCH tote bag, GLITCH #2, and an art print featuring the character Blane.

See me at L.A. Comic Con this weekend, in Kentia Hall at Artist Alley Table E26! It’s my last convention of the year (and my last one as Wasteland Comics before transitioning to After Worlds End Publishing next year). Who else is gonna be there? I’d love to say hi!

July’s newsletter was tough to write. But the short of it is this: GLITCH, as a comic, is on an indefinite hiatus as its artist has left the project. I’ll search for a new artist, but in the meantime, I’ll be adapting and continuing GLITCH as a series of novels to ensure fans get a complete story.

After Worlds End’s logo, a silhouetted figure walking amongst sand dunes toward a rising sun. Text reads “Keeping the Fire Alive” and “afterworldsend.substack.com.”

Today, you COULD read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Or—hear us out—you could read A Cactus Carol instead. Written by Sarah Landauer, with wonderful art by Lane Lloyd, and lettered by James Vanderah, it’s only $0.99 to download! What are you waiting for??? Head on over to our website now! 🌵🎁

End of year lists are great and many/ most creators recognized are deserving of attention. But making comics (especially now) is hard. IF you made a comic in 2024 and you still want to make them in 2025... you deserve laurels too. Congrats to everyone who wants to keep on keeping on.
