The Caledonian forest once covered the top two thirds of Scotland. Now around 1% remains. The heather covered mountains and vast moorlands Scotland is famous for is not what our ancestors knew.
My best friend Brian has been gone for 3 months now and I'm still missing him terribly. The house feels so empty without him. Hopefully this feeling will pass eventually.

Dun Dornagail iron age broch in the northern Highlands of Scotland, where I am originally from. It's a double walled semi conical structure, they lived in the middle during day and slept between the walls. It was once around 10m high (30ft) with only one door which was sealed with a huge boulder.
