They say never meet your heroes, but I met Ray Harryhausen back in 2002, and he couldn't have been nicer. Great guy. One thing that struck me was how big he was. I remember wondering how he'd accomplished such delicate work with those giant hands. Seriously, dude could play baseball without a glove.

If a motherfucker was credibly accused of breaking my granddaughter's collarbone, I think I'd be able to muster more smoke for him than I had for Dr. Fauci. This is what Tim Walz meant when he called these people weird.

"If I had abused her, would this kitchen be so spotless right now? Would the salt and pepper shakers be exactly 3/4 full? I mean, c'mon, if I were an abuser, would I be enjoying this perfectly cooked medium rare steak with the fat cut off ONLY AFTER IT'S OFF THE GRILL?! Preposterous."

Really tired of hearing the media describe the DOJ as "bungling". They're not bungling anything. They're serving the will of an authoritarian, comfortable in the fact that said authoritarian will pardon them for their crimes. They're accessories, at minimum.

I always think I know animals, but then I log on to Bluesky and see videos like, "Here's the Chuffed Ingrate Mouse waving its barbules. And you wouldn't think it from looking at them, but it's good friends with the Patio Stork." and I'm like, what is this planet we live on? 😆
