Idea for one of these house hunting shows: Every time the couple are shown a house, the last thing they are told is how many people have died in the house. How much will that influence their buying experience?

The worst thing about Melbourne having a 24 hour airport, is having to do pick ups in the middle of the night. There better be a decent kebab van open for the drive home. Of course there will be, this is Melbourne, there will be dozens of them.

I told my mechanic the car was sick. Of course this would happen on my one day off, where I’m moving the last of the stuff from my old house.
They are installed. Took a couple of hours of swearing and tearing off skin, but it’s done.

I’m no expert on such things, but I’m pretty sure I’ve managed to work out why none of my TV points are working. It’s just a hunch, but I think I better call in a Mansplainer to look at it for me.
I put my former skills as a broadcast engineer to use, and found out the reason none of the TV points are working.
I need some advice. The workers have finished on my house, and I figure I should get them a slab of beer to say thanks. I don’t drink, so I don’t know what’s popular these days. Any advice for Melbourne booze?

After a week of having to wake up at 1am to go to work, it was so nice to not set an alarm and get a sleep in on my day off…, until 3:30am. D’oh! I was hoping to be lazy and not wake up until at least 5am.

Bank has again rejected the final payment to the builder, because they can’t make payment before the 11th. I reminded them today is the 11th. They said “Yes, we can’t make payment until the 11th, please contact us on the 11th to make payment.” TODAY IS THE 11th! I just did that on the 11th!!
For my new house I decided to splash out and get a new bed frame, after a decade on one I made myself. Ordered it yesterday, with the delivery date as next week, after I get the keys. Went to the property today to set the base for the mailbox, the bed had already arrived from interstate.
I get the keys to my own home next week. Only took 50+ years of my life to achieve this, but I’ve finally gotten there.
Flat out day yesterday in the recording studio, working on my band’s 4 track debut release. I had 11 parts to record, including vocals, guitar, bass, keys (piano, organ, strings, brass), and backing vocals. Would have preferred to do the brass parts live, but I no longer have my trumpet.
I may be a lot of things, but useless in the kitchen is not one of them.
I had to go down the road 7km into town to get some things, and decided to pop into Safeway to grab stuff for Carbonara for dinner. But because the roads around here are so stuffed, it took me 45mins to get home, at 7pm. So much for waiting until after the peak.
Being a lawyer whose solo client base is cats who have been left an inheritance, but it is being disputed by family members.

As good as it is to eat healthy, sometimes you just have to go a good old steak eggs and chips. Well potato gems instead of chips, but the rump is cooked in Worcestershire sauce, and the eggs are sunny side up and as runny as a nose in winter.
Today would have been 29 years of marriage for me. It ended after six. If I had my time again I would never have gotten married, because doing what was expected of me for the good of society wasn’t in my interests, but for the happiness of others wanting to keep the status quo of “normal”.
I’m fine with it getting rid of foxes, they’re an introduced pest anyway.

Did the PCI inspection on my house today, moving in date is in 3 weeks. Now that the stress of building is over, I can get on with the stress of moving, and the stress of getting my bond back on the rental, then decades of mortgage stress. It’s good to be alive, just got to keep telling myself that.
Is there anything more frustrating in the world, than watching a cooking show, and they are using the wrong kind of knife to cut something? Why did I get this kind of autism, and not the good at maths one? And don’t get me started on incorrect spoons.
