Just watched Nolan’s “The Odyssey”. The decision to not attempt Mycenaean armor was okay I guess but the multiracial cast bothered me not at all. They dropped a few of the better scenes from the book but added some nice touches that upped the emotional impact. A very good film overall.
The wife and I just signed up for a cruise to the Islamic Republic of Japan. There’s not a lot of info on TripAdvisor so I figure that means our chances of getting a truly ‘authentic’ experience are very good. Wish us well!
I’m sure Byron Allen will be a fine replacement for Steven Colbert. In the name of ‘balance’, we can look forward to humorous quips about the odd-smelling smoke pouring out of the newly built stacks at ICE detention facilities and jokes about what how to accessorize with striped pajamas.

The billionaires who own the streaming services are so to suck up to the Regime that I have little doubt “Melania” will do be on forced rotation across their platforms. But this presents Americans with a new opportunity. Let’s all watch the movie!
Before the outbreak of war, Hitler and Mussolini were the unquestioned leaders of their regimes. However, if those leaders died, there were others would could have continued those governments without major interruption.
So…what are we going to call our new bandit empire? The name ‘United States of America’ just doesn’t have the macho panache needed to convey our new national mission of domination and expropriation. Any thoughts?
If this was only about throwing Maduro in prison, why didn’t Trump’s people just shake him down for some pardon money? Trump wouldn’t have gotten a momentary “I’m a bug, bad, WAR President” boner, but more money in the bank would be a nice consolation.
