I feel like aging parents now do so many things with ignoring messages that they would have gone apoplectic over…if we had had texting when their children were young.

Having a dispute with this airport restaurant. I ordered the kid’s grilled cheese meal (there is no adult grilled cheese on the menu) and they have decided the appropriate response is to not deliver the drink that comes with the meal once they noticed I was an adult. Allegedly.

Competitive balance is not the reason they want a salary cap. They just want to spend less, and with more predictability, on total payroll. That is all.
I constantly wonder about this. Why are drivers so short-sighted that they want MORE other drivers on road with them? The other drivers are a major part of why having to drive everywhere is awful!
Katelyn Burns@katelynburns.com · 3d agoI've found that this issue is primarily one of a lack of imagination from drivers. If you drive everywhere, you should want anything possible to get competing drivers out of your traffic.
That said, don't overlook a much smaller but significant box-office phenomenon: The proshot of Hadestown grossing $18 million--more than Hamilton made--feels like a very clear and positive statement about the viability of these straight-from-the-stage special events. Expect more.
LOL tonight’s timing was the opposite of last night. But if staying out late is what Qween Jean wants it’s worth it.

Just traded horror stories with the pharmacist about relatives testing positive for COVID in Europe and having access to jackshit for treatment, so this is my opportunity to remind Americans: If you have insurance and a doctor you can talk to, you can likely get a Paxlovid scrip for a trip.
Has anyone posted an analysis of the Amnesty report and the likely outcome of a defamation suit under UK law? I would actually be interested in that from someone who knows their stuff (not just amateur guesswork).
