Everytown gun training says to get a dog. But, you're the alpha of the pack. Your dog may bark, but canine instinct is to let the alpha deal with threats. Dogs are only good for defense if specifically trained to do so, and an armed intruder will just shoot the dog.

The most frightening thing about Charlie Kirk's death was how quickly it both silenced opposition and even brought out praise from people who should oppose his message of hatred. This will happen again, and next time they might have the shooter they need to get what they want.

Who all has seen threats of revenge emerge today? I don't want to doom scroll, but we do need to be looking for patterns and come up with good ideas for keeping everyone safe.
