Newell's fan Alfredo Ledesma spotted his idol Marcelo Bielsa on the street this week in Rosario. He immediately asked him to sign his arm and then went and got El Loco's signature TATTOOED.

Went to the cinema & a couple sat by me, & were grumbling & then got up and moved & it made me feel paranoid. What had I done? Then they called the manager out and & pointing at the seat which had dry white stains. Manager scratched at it and tasted it. Ice cream not spunk. The bravery of that man.

Saw a satisfyingly big shooting star last night - bright enough that it was visible against the glow of a city sky, and big enough that it broke up, trailing sparks like a firework (but higher and faster than one could ever be). Very pleasing.

Imagine being immortalised with the words “So - shout out to that guy” thousands of years after your death. Learning why the Trojans got massacred, rather than just wondering why the Greeks left a lid of dead guys in a horse…

A fabulous day at work (I know, I know - but you don't work on a boat in Cardigan Bay, pointing at dolphins for the delight of tourists!). I got some of my best photos to date and I'm hopeful of getting one of one of the new born calves tomorrow - missed them today.
