I just watched a video on collapse. It was so painful to watch. I will share my personal thoughts at the end. Too many have this expectation that tech or politicians will save us. Take a look around. Tech bros have zero interest. Politicians are only interested in power serving their wealthy ...

This is still too far in the future to be reliable. Still....❄️☃️❄️ Since it's supposed to rain today. I plan on spending time in the greenhouse. I have been cleaning out my shed and separating out my garden stuff and tools and putting it in the new greenhouse. Now, I need to organize it all.

Screenshot of long-term weather forecast showing snow in my area next weekend. Temperatures will be 37F or below for over 24 hours.

A bunny came to my door. It actually stood up on its back legs and put its front ones on the window to look inside. I better check the wildlife water bowls after I finish my coffee. These critters have really high expectations for this time a day. Yesterday, a pinejay started yelling at me at 6 am.

Dog wound help needed Harley somehow managed to tear a piece of a toe pad off. I have no idea how. He doesn't cry out in pain. It's about 3mm across down to the soft issue beneath. It's red, but not oozing. I am going to clean it, cover with gauze, and wrap it. Should I put any ointment on it?

Yesterday, I walked to a neighbor's to inform him of the silver alert. He doesn't do social media. He's 84 and a Navy vet. He's this cantankerous curmudgeon who doesn't like anyone...mostly. I helped him put my number in his cell contacts. He also wrote it down on his emergency contact list. ...

I have been wanting some purple asters for years. They flourish at lower altitudes around here. This year, a birdie brought me a present. I am going to try to collect some seeds.

Small purple aster plant with numerous blooms. The petals are long and thin with a golden center.

Hey Europeans: I bought this chapstick decades ago. Brand was Lobello. Label was blue with white letters. I found that brand online, but the labeling has changed. For skiers. Clear when applied. Does anyone know what I need to look for on the new label? It's the only one that has worked for me.

This #Cornell rape club reminded me of this night out with friends several years ago. I was in my early 30s. It was a girls' night out. A friend's husband agreed to be the designated driver, keeper of the purses, and protector of the drinks. (Sad that is a requirement) Anyway, one friend was ...🧵

I found a used bookstore in ABQ that was just amazing. I plan on making time to spend several hours there soon. I have a list. I may take a pillow. (There weren't any places to just plop down.) The owner(s?) seemed to enjoy my awe and excitement today. It smelled so good!

I have a strong desire to see the Cornell 57 and Cornell admin die by fire ants. There are too many Brock Turners walking this earth. The courts have rewarded these fuckers and punished survivors for too damn long. (This is the least offensive thought I have right now.) #IAmJaneDoe

I dug around the interwebs looking for info on the trucker strike. Now, I am laughing. It's similar to the MAGAt ranchers whining about the consequences of voting R. They also have zero understanding of supply and demand or how long these shortages are going to last. #FAFO #Collapse

F'ing windows updates. I just turned my laptop on for the first time this week. First Firefox wouldn't open. I fixed that and restarted. Now Windows automatically started "updates underway..." with no progress %. It's been 45 minutes. It usually gives me the option to restart with or w/o updates.

I have already received 1.8" of rain since I went to bed Sunday night. I just saw that I could get another 1.5". That is more than our average for August and September combined (1.5" each).

I am having a problem that is the best problem to have. We're supposed to get another 2 inches of rain before this ends tomorrow. That equates to roughly 200 gallons of water. I don't have enough space in my tank, and I only have one more 55 gallon barrel left to fill. #NewMEXICO #monsoonseason
