The first Asteria livery we designed- when we used to simulate JSXesque carriers in Airline Empires (the site that got me my first aviation job). Come a long way with the brand idea since then.

Decide to caring what others thought, so I'm working to build the US' best regional airline, Asteria, one day at a time.
How many of you know about the lore of Lakeshore Express (or even flew them?)
Very small preview of me trying to finish up the digital twin/simulation game side of our unique airline os, AsteriaAtlas. All built with a mix of Perplexity Computer, Claude Code and Codex to make an MVP to hand off to devs later.
I had to tone this down substantially, because this one hurts and just makes me so angry, and I'm holding my true comments for later. So a sanitized version - Unfortunately, you could see this coming from miles away due to the launch date pushbacks, and cancelation of Marquette, MI (MQT)....
Some teasers of the customer experience on our mobile app….
Took this 8 years ago. Bold ideas, just ill timed and didn’t make $$$ when you had so much debt.
Yeah, I will need to fix that tagline but, the vibe is there for the software we are building. (ps zero plans for Salesforce internally for us, but if you want us to build an integration for it... might know someone knowledgeable 🤔)
Preview of the current state of how each route actually looks beyond a route map. Goal was to pool demand but also service it in the most efficient way as possible, with the least number of plane transfers between city pair, and still beat the legacy carriers. Last mile problem being worked on.
Small tease - current initial summer Great Lakes scheduled service (only TVC drops in winter) . Modeled through our demand & financial algos to offer as many direct single plane or nonstop flights as we legally can with 15 tails to beat the hub & spoke model, connect with our flights & others.
In the coming weeks, I’m opening the doors up again to speaking with investors about Asteria Air - a tech driven US regional airline. Over the past three months the team and I have been reformulating the operating & company model, firming up demand & other little things based on feedback/research.

A Little Tease: No, this is not the final initial route map, as many FL routes are wrong, and I am not a fan of flying to BNA, ORD, MSP & DTW at the initial stages, and it's missing CVG/ROC/SYR and many other smaller airports. But Mapbox is doing a good job at least.
This week of shit with the day job is just more motivation to GTFO. Curious to see how much the 200million rows of Census/BEA data suck up alone before all state level DOT data, IRS, Wikipedia scrapes…
SCASD apps dropped. GRR's filing lists Grand Rapids–Kansas City as its #7 market. Our demand model flagged MCI as a top GRR route yesterday. Their count: 57/day. Ours runs well north of that once you pull in suppressed and other-mode demand, potentially 132+. 2x daily on a Q400, is the goal. 🛫
Spent a month building our demand model. Data back to 1969, 95+ sources, hundreds of GB of SQL. Cracked it today. First finding: DOT passenger data shows only 1/3 to 1/5 of true demand. That's why GRR-STL/MCI/CVG look dead at 20-27 PDEW. They aren't.
One of the ideas being cooked up here is making route launch parties (and our launch party) not boring. Fuck your cupcakes. One of my fun facts - I have grown up deep into music. Rap, Electronic, Rock, Alternative, Metal are the top ones. I am a drummer too.
Wish I took a better pic … but that is a Delta Connection CRJ-900 doing a full power go around at 10ft (or so) at GRR yesterday. Plane windshear right at the end of the runway, ended up going missed again before finally landing unevenly on our N/S runway.
Was going to get some work done, sit and think about the meeting I had with a VIP… but well… hotspot said no. View was nice before the storm rolled in and I watched a CRJ do a go around (twice due to windshear) ⛈️ ✈️
Looked at this and my first thought was “We need a Large American Designed (and made) Regional Aircraft again.” I cannot think of another large regional aircraft since the CV-240 series that was fully designed and made in the USA. And that’s a real risk.
The best way to check out prospective destinations right now... is to drive to some of them, stay a little bit and get a feel for the area, and see what non commercial airports lie in between them for the Part 135 of our business.
Part of what we have been cooking up before we finalize some things on our end is market forecasting. It's a highly complex algorithm that combines aviation/non aviation data, demographics, psychographics and traveler personas, along historical data... northwestairlineshistory.org
I love finding little parts of airports even I didn’t know of, because they offer unique opportunities potentially for us to come in and take advantage of unused infrastructure . Today from BOS, pictures included of then & now.
Preview of a mockup image for our updated deck. Not 100% perfect but enough to get us by and come out swinging with a statement. The power of technology. 🛩️
Had to remind myself the real world exists today (normally too locked the fuck in on the airline & stuff)
My face right now as my deep history of aviation hits just right and a very out there idea of longer range Q400 routes, across a part of the country that hasn’t seen such routes since the days of the Connie, DC-6/7 and Electra appears in my head.
