Catastrophic when the UK government is selling our country & jeopardising the sovereignty of others. *Previous was noted prior to Labours arrival, nothing has changed* Like America we’ve been hi jacked. Please…If you’ve no posts, no requests.

The fact that these people get a bonus beggars belief, under performers payed with our money & not invested into the company infrastructure for the future performance & reliability of our water supply. Where is Ofwat & the government where are they? #Ofwat #WaterPollution

England water bosses’ pay rises despite bonus ban - public fury over bills & pollution. All circumventing rules, reclassifying bonuses as retention payments, making payments through other companies in the group. Govt was forewarned. Why no enforcement, fines, prosecutions?

I’ve joined Oxfam in setting out five tests for the new Prime Minister’s first 100 days. These first decisions will set the direction for years to come. Words are easy, but the real test is the choices made in the weeks ahead. www.oxfam.org.uk/get-involved...

Thames Water increased its bonus payouts to £4.1m for senior managers. It has £19.7bn debt, fleeces customers, dumps sewage in rivers, loses billions of litres of water to leaky pipes. Numerous criminal convictions, licence not revoked. But bosses rewarded .. for what? Govt/Ofwat do nothing.

Virgin Media fined £28m for repeatedly preventing customers from cancelling contracts. "Deliberate call-dropping" tactics, customers put on hold "for no reason". Commission scheme "effectively encouraged" and rewarded abuses. No exec fined/charged for carefully designed scam to fleece customers.

UK income tax personal allowance frozen at £12,570 since 2021. If increased in line with inflation, it would be £16,048 for 2026/27. As a result, in 2026/27 someone earning £17,000 will pay additional £696 in income tax and £278 in national insurance. All because govts appease the rich.

We need to abolish state-sanctioned poverty

No one is ever born poor. They are condemned to poverty by societal policies which prevent millions from realising their full physical, mental, and intellectual capacities potentialities.

Controversy has always followed Farage around & he has always dodged the allegations. Has the truth finally caught up with Farage? Do not let him dodge what is right, make him answer the questions put before him prior to a by-election do not let Farage dodge what is rightfully coming his way #Brexit

Farage’s £5m gift from foreign crypto billionaire was reported by a banker to UK crime agency over money laundering concerns Farage has resigned as MP, will stand for the by-election. Other parties won't field candidates, ensuring that he faces outcome of parliamentary investigation.

Who benefits from god given resources? Definitely not the people of the UK. All oil & gas extraction is sold for the highest profit not to provide the people with affordable fuel. Successive governments have looked after their puppeteers not the people of the UK who placed their trust in them. #Oil

Blatant lobbying, not for the sake of our country, but for the fossil fuel industry, in which almost all the ultrarich - including, in all likelihood, the proprietors of these newspapers - are heavily invested. These people are not and never will be your friends. www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-uk-...

Frightening as the uk government has the same in mind. Already laws have been introduced & used for those charged prior to their introduction with the judge banning clarifying of why the defendants were charged & the reasoning behind what they did, their barrister was also hamstrung by the court.

Meanwhile, in the US. It just takes your breath away. *50 years* in prison for protesting. Don't imagine for one moment that we are immune to this. Already, the legislative framework is in place in the UK to enable such convictions - before we get a Trumplike PM. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Every one of the once public owned companies that were given to the private sector have been money making schemes for their shareholders & bonus earning CEO’s. From BOAC/BA to all of the water companies they have made huge profits some while making losses. Totally unacceptable #PrivateSector #Money

South East Water losing 100m litres of water a day to leaks. There are no pristine water companies in England. All dump sewage in rivers, neglect investment, prioritised dividends, fleece customers, fines announced, not collected. Must remove profit motive. Nationalise all.
