HCI, health, care, participatory & qual methods - Associate Prof of Human-Computer Interaction for Health at University of Bristol, UK. Irish name, Canadian accent, too many children.

Really enjoyed this packed to the online/in person brim talk. Ireland>UK>Denmark>Ireland HCI for health research overview was really very interesting, and the sheer number of digital health folks at the talk must have agreed!

#AI for #health like a "crowbar out of our collective hands." Fab BIG TALK yesterday by Kevin Doherty. Postnatal mental health, primary care & serious mental health & looking to the future of AI for health were almost as thought provoking as the quote from the Black Eyed Peas!

Today at 2pm GMT, join us for a #digitalhealth #hci #ai BIG TALK with Kevin Doherty on "Advancing a human-centred approach to person-centred care for the digital age" - sign up on Eventbrite: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-talk-k...

Heloisa Candello gave a great talk on the complex relationships in #CUIs and #AI – so many stakeholders! Great to hear about ‘humanizing chatbots’ in real life and designing for WhatsApp impact with vulnerable communities. Thank you Heloisa, “the loveliest person at CSCW”!

Lovely to have Ding "back" in Bristol for a bit, and what an interesting talk!

Fascinating talk from the ‘factory floor’ of #dataannotation. Ding Wang from Google AI revealed the human labour behind the curtain of #AI, advocating for annotator as partner/expert - annotation is social! Qual folks in attendance particularly liked the slip replacing “qualitative” with “quality”!
