can’t think of anything I’m not very raven on Twitter unless my boss asks

a guy just asked me if I have a twin brother and over the course of the conversation it became clear to me that sometimes he sees me around wearing a hat and sometimes he sees me around not wearing a hat

given it’s the only thing you can get anyone to play you still gotta pay some attention to D&D news; a new Dark Sun book and a new Ravenloft book done by third-party (i.e., better) designers is pretty cool

this is what I look like when I wake up in the middle of the night and remember how much debt I went into to buy all these awesome swords

the Rider-Waite tarot card illustration for Nine of Swords

we used to eat at a TGI Friday’s that had a sign up that said DANGER MEN WORKING and I would go on flights of fancy about what a dangerman is, what his work consists of, whether I had what it took to become one, etc.

it’s my birthday btw. my friend said I’m allowed to announce it and I don’t have to emotionally self-harm by waiting to see if anybody remembered or noticed

it’s kind of funny that eventually every movie where the twist is it’s happening in modern day won’t hit anymore. “wow. he thought it was 140 years ago but it was actually only 60 years ago. that’s crazy”

I’m reading Brideshead Revisited and even though he was of course a weird Tory racist he was still very funny, even when he’s not doing novels that are strictly satire (like Decline and Fall)

it’s not perfect but it’s so cool to go to a movie and see dialectics literalized for a beginner’s understanding and there’s also a nasty MC5 needle drop in there
