If a vacancy were to occur in Parliament, for example, if an MP resigns, then the convention is that the Chief Whip of the party whose MP held the seat will move the writ for a by-election *within 3 months* of the vacancy occurring. Just musing out loud…

@mrjamesob.bsky.social you asked what is Labour’s equivalent of the 1922… An MP has to deliver the names of 20% of the PLP who will nominate that MP to stand for Leader to the Labour Party General Secretary (currently Hollie Ridley) who will then report that fact to the NEC, and the contest begins.

CATA has found via FoI requests that government bodies did not fully disclose vital evidence to COVID Inquiry. They ignored views of PHE that airborne precautions should have been available to all HCWs. WHY?

Plenty had a suspicion the printers was taking the hit for Reform so they could dodge a massive fine. If it holds up the forensic evidence proves intent to commit fraud and evade electoral law. Oopsies someone may be going to jail.

@samcoatessky.bsky.social See below re the Reform letter in G&D - my reply to Rob Ford's post. This is a bigger story than not having an imprint. I believe it was a deliberate attempt to deceive voters, and then the printer had to come up with a story to cover for being found out. It's not an error

The printers are can't be telling the truth. The imprint wasn’t trimmed off. It wasn’t on the proof. If it was, the letter would be shorter, or the imprint was outside the print area. It’s a cover-up. This is what happened in 5 posts: 1. In order to make the ‘neighbour-to-neighbour’ letter...
