The official social media accounts of Iran's new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei have for the second time since March published an image of him that appears to have been manipulated with Google AI. He has not been seen in public since being appointed Iran's head of state in March.

One of the hardest jobs in communications is telling a leader the game is up. My latest piece for Harper's Bazaar explores what Sir Keir Starmer's exit can teach CEOs and political leaders about trust, storytelling and knowing when to let go. 🔗 Link in comments.

With the full caveat that I have never managed a govt dept, as Wes Streeting knows very well having been health secretary, investment in active travel *pays for itself many times over* in better public health outcomes etc. Cutting investment is often a false economy, as the UK knows to its cost.

Case in point: the Prime Minister just said defence is "a number one priority".

Growth was meant to the number one priority, is it still?

There's not enough money for defence, but today the Government announced £4.5 BILLION for walking and cycling.

Make choices. Decide. Lead.

One way scammers get these details is if you reply to one of those "we tried to deliver your parcel, now you have to pay £1 to have it redirected" texts - those are less frequent now as people are more aware of them, but I nearly fell for one of those a while back. Realised before I sent the details

I think I just barely escaped a shockingly savvy scammer trying to get my bank credentials. First, whoever it was had my actual phone number, my actual bank, and the last 4 digits of my account. They sent a "was this transaction you" message that looked almost identical to the ones my bank sends.

So the Mail puts attacking Labour over national security. Did our potential adversaries already know this? 🤔 Does this help or hinder our security? 🤔 How would they describe someone who revealed this? 🤔 So much for the Mail's professed patriotism.
